Copy That Video (copythatvideo.com) turns a photo you upload into your own version of a trending TikTok AI video, and makes AI videos from text or an image. This page says what we collect to do that, what we do with it, and how long we keep it. Questions go to support@copythatvideo.com.
- Your photo is used to make your video and nothing else. It is deleted as soon as your video is finished; we keep only the video.
- Every photo is checked automatically for nudity and sexual content before anything is made. A photo that fails is refused and deleted at once, and nothing is charged.
- We never use your photos or videos to train AI models and never sell them. Your finished videos are private to your account and are never shown on this site.
- Payments are handled by our payment provider; we never see or store your card number.
- Account: your email address and name, and your profile picture if you sign in with Google.
- Photos you upload: the image file, held in our cloud storage only while it is checked and the video model reads it.
- Prompts: the text you type on Text to video or Image to video, stored with the video it made.
- TikTok links you paste on the home page: the link, the video ID, and a one-way hash of your IP address, so we can see which videos people want a template for. The video behind a link is never downloaded.
- Videos we make: the finished clip, stored so you can download it again from My videos.
- Payments: what you bought, when, and the amount. Card details stay with the payment provider (Stripe).
- Usage: pages visited, the buttons that started a purchase or a video, and basic device and browser data, through our own logs and privacy-friendly analytics.
- To make the video you asked for: your photo (with the trend template's description), or your prompt and image, are sent to our AI video provider, which returns the video. The provider processes them only to produce your video.
- To keep the service safe: every photo is checked before a video is made (see the next section).
- To run your account: sign-in, credits, purchases, receipts and support.
- To keep the service working and honest: fixing failed renders, refunding credits, preventing abuse.
- Before any video is made, and before any credits are charged, every photo you upload is checked by an automated content safety service for nudity and sexual content.
- A photo that fails the check is refused and deleted from our storage straight away. Nothing is charged.
- Anything sexual involving a minor is refused and reported to the authorities where the law requires it.
- The AI video models we use run their own checks too and refuse violent, sexual or hateful requests. If a render is refused there, its credits come back to your balance.
- When a photo is refused, we note the account (or, for a visitor who is not signed in, a one-way hash of the IP address) and the reason, not the file, so that repeated attempts can be stopped.
- The content safety service receives the photo only to check it.
- Uploaded photos: deleted automatically as soon as the video is finished or the render fails. A photo that fails the content check is deleted at once. One you upload but never turn into a video is deleted within 24 hours.
- Finished videos: kept while your account exists, so you can download them again. Delete your account and they go with it.
- Nothing is published: your videos only appear in My videos, for you to download. Visitors' videos are never shown on the site.
- Pasted links: kept to decide which trends to add next, and deleted with your account.
- Payment records: kept as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after an account is deleted.
Trend clips on our pages are short previews hosted by us, always credited to their author with a link to the original post. Creators can ask us to take a clip down through the contact page, and we remove it promptly.
Only upload photos of yourself or of adults who have agreed to it. Do not upload children, public figures or anyone who has not consented. Memorial templates are the exception: you may upload a photo of a family member, friend or pet who has passed away, if the photo is yours to use. We do not use photos to identify anyone, and we do not build face databases.
- AI video provider: receives the photo to render the video.
- Content safety service: receives each uploaded photo to check it before a video is made.
- Cloud storage and hosting: store the files and run the site.
- Payment provider (Stripe): processes payments.
- Email provider: sends sign-in codes and receipts.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion of your account, photos and videos at any time: write to support@copythatvideo.com. We answer within 30 days, usually much sooner.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we update the date at the top and, for account holders, say so by email.
