What it is

What is the Lamine Yamal AI video?

The Lamine Yamal AI video puts you in a fake that football fans could not stop replaying: in mid-October 2026 he wound up a rabona cross near the byline, did not kick, and went past a defender who had already thrown himself at the ball. Replays of the fake rabona passed two million views on TikTok. Then the first AI version that spread put an AI-made player in a blue kit into real match footage, filmed from a high broadcast camera: it passed 2.55 million plays.

Almost every other AI version copies or stitches it, putting someone new in that player’s place from one full-length photo, and the clothes in the photo carry the joke: a grandmother in her cardigan or a dad in his work shirt, on a professional pitch. We are not affiliated with Lamine Yamal, his club, his national team or any competition: your clip uses neither his face nor his name, and the defender wears an unbranded kit.

What happens, in order

  1. The run-up1

    The run-up

You run up to the ball near the line, filmed from high above like a TV replay.

  2. The wind-up2

    The wind-up

Arm out wide, your kicking leg swings behind your standing leg: the classic rabona shape. Everyone expects the cross.

  3. The fake rabona3

    The fake rabona

You do not kick. The defender slides in from the side and misses, and the ball stays with you.

  4. Gone4

    Gone

The defender is on the ground and you carry the ball on past him. That is the whole rabona AI clip, and it is enough.

Lamine Yamal AI: which photo to use

A Lamine Yamal AI clip is a full-body move filmed from far away, so the photo has to show the whole person, from head to shoes, or the AI has to invent the legs that do the trick. Stand straight, arms loose, face toward the camera. Clothes carry the joke here: whatever is in the photo is what you play in, so a cardigan, a work uniform or a wedding suit beats a training top every time.

  • Sample photo: a man in his forties in a red polo shirt, cargo shorts and sneakers, standing full length, face clearly visible

    Face too small

Works

  • One adult, alone, head to shoes in frame
  • Face clear, looking roughly at the camera
  • Standing straight, arms by the sides
  • Daylight, a plain background if you have one

Skip

  • Half-body selfies (the legs have to come from somewhere)
  • Group photos or a small face far away
  • Kits with club badges, sponsors or a famous name on the back
  • Children, footballers or anyone famous, anyone who has not agreed

Background

Where the Lamine Yamal AI trend came from

From a Champions League night to the AI version everyone copies, in a day. Dates come from match reports and the TikTok posts.

  1. October 13, 2026

    The fake

In a Champions League match in Istanbul, which Barcelona won 4–1 against Galatasaray, Lamine Yamal winds up a rabona near the byline, never kicks, and sets up a goal. Afterwards he calls it “something like a rabona, maybe a semi-rabona”, and fans start searching for the Lamine Yamal rabona goal.

  2. October 14, 2026

    The replay

Slowed-down replays spread across football TikTok, with commentators circling the defender; the most watched passes two million plays.

  3. October 14, 2026

    The AI version

The first Lamine Yamal AI clip that spreads puts an AI-made player in a blue kit into real match footage, filmed from a high broadcast camera. It passes 2.55 million plays, and almost every AI version after it copies or stitches it.

“lamine yamal ai video” starts showing in US search suggestions, as people look for a way to make their own.

Fixes

If your Lamine Yamal AI video looks off

Football moves are fast and the camera is far away, so the photo matters more than usual. Most fixes start there.

  • The legs or shoes are not mine

Your photo probably stops at the waist, so the AI had to invent the rest. Use a photo from head to shoes, standing straight, arms loose.

  • The face is hard to recognise

At this distance the face is small for most of the clip. Use a sharp, front-facing photo in daylight; your build, hair and clothes carry the rest of the likeness.

  • The kit in my photo changed

Club badges, sponsor logos and famous names on shirts are left off on purpose. Wear a plain top in the photo, or everyday clothes, which are funnier anyway.

  • There are two people in my photo

Crop it so only one person is left, still head to shoes, before you upload. The Lamine Yamal AI clip has one player on the ball.

  • The photo will not upload

Use a JPG, PNG or WEBP. iPhone photos saved as HEIC sometimes will not open in a browser; take a screenshot of the photo and upload that.

  • The video did not render

If a render fails, the credits go back to your balance on their own. Add the photo again and press the button once more.

Posting

Posting your Lamine Yamal AI video

Football TikTok loves a straight-faced caption. Post your Lamine Yamal AI clip as if it were real match footage, and let the defender do the comedy.

  • Let the defender be the joke

Do not cut away after the fake. The replay value is watching the defender commit to a ball that never comes.

  • Label it as AI

Match-style footage fools people. Turn on the AI label so nobody thinks your dad has signed for a club.

Lamine Yamal AI video FAQ

How do I make the Lamine Yamal AI video?

Add one full-length photo of yourself or an adult who agreed, tick the box and press the button at the top of this page. When the clip is ready, download it and post it with the AI label on. The steps above go through it in order.

Can I wear a football shirt in my photo?

Yes, as long as it has no club badge, sponsor or famous name on it. A plain shirt or training top looks right on the pitch; everyday clothes, a dress or a suit make the Lamine Yamal AI clip funnier.

Can I be the defender instead?

Not in this Lamine Yamal AI version. Your photo always goes on the player with the ball, because that is where the joke is. If you want both roles filled by friends, make two clips and post them together.

Can I use a real footballer’s photo?

No. Photos of footballers, celebrities or anyone famous are not allowed, and that includes the player behind the trend: a Lamine Yamal AI photo of him is not something to upload here. Use your own photo or one of an adult who has agreed to it.

My kid plays every weekend. Can I make one of them?

Photos of children or anyone under 18 are not allowed, even your own. Make one of yourself doing their favourite move instead; they will be the first to tell you how wrong your technique is.

Can I make one of my grandma?

Yes, with her yes, and grandmothers make some of the funniest Lamine Yamal AI clips: whatever she wears in the photo is what she plays in, and everyday clothes on a pitch are the joke. Use a full-length photo of her standing.

What happens to my photo?

It is used only to make your video and is deleted as soon as the render ends, whether it worked or not. The finished clip waits in My videos for you to download; it is not shown anywhere on this site, and nothing you upload is used to train models.

Why was my photo not accepted?

Use a JPG, PNG or WEBP. iPhone photos saved as HEIC sometimes will not open in a browser, so take a screenshot of the photo and upload that. Very large photos are made smaller for you before they upload.
